And on our wedding day, in front of our families, friends, and a photographer hired to capture the happiest moments of our lives, Daniel showed me a side of himself I had never truly understood.

My father had always been protective of me, though never in a way that made me feel trapped. He believed that love should make you feel safe, respected, and free to be yourself.
