Uncategorized My wife took our son and daughter on a trip, and they never came back — 40 years later, I found a box hidden inside my daughter’s mattress that made my bl00d run cold. My wife, Clara, took our daughter and our son on a short trip to visit her sister, who lived by the ocean. I was overwhelmed with work at the time, so they went without me. But then Clara’s sister, Gwen, called me and said they’d never made it to her house. When the police started searching for them, all they found was their empty car on a bridge over a river. The search went on for years. Divers searched the river over and over again. As I was sorting through my daughter’s room, I became so tired that I dropped onto her bed and heard a CRACKING sound. I pressed my hand against the mattress and felt something SOLID. I turned the mattress over and found a roughly stitched slit. I grabbed a pair of scissors, cut it open, and pulled out a BOX that had been hidden inside the mattress. I opened the box. Inside was a handwritten NOTE. It was in Clara’s handwriting. My breath caught the moment I read the first line: “Andrew, if you’re reading this, then something has happened to me. Please read this to the end CAREFULLY. Don’t trust Gwen. There’s SOMETHING you never knew.” Read the rest of this story in 1st comment
